daily happenings at the Lewis home....

So it seems as though almost every time I am talking to my mom, I will tell her something that is going on, or something that the kids did or said and she just laughs and tells me, " You need to write a book"!

I know that will never happen, but I guess my blog will have to be the next best thing. I am going to try really hard to write down a lot of the funny things that my kids say to me, or do or just the daily happenings that happen during our day.

Hope you enjoy, you might get to see a different side of our family and also I am not promising this will last for long. I try to keep things up but with 4 kids, my life is on a day to day time frame!!!

First things first....
This pile I know is pretty gross! why am I taking a picture of my dirt pile?! From the looks of it you would think I never sweep my floors! This is the size of pile I sweep up from my floor almost daily!!! I don't understand how my kids can do this, but they do. I guess I just need to look on the bright side and be grateful I have wood floors and I can sweep it up and it not just getting tracked into my carpets!

My mom also has always told me that when I got older and had kids that Heavenly Father would bless me with a daughter just like me and pay me back for all the trouble I gave my parents. If my mom was right I was one crazy, and destructive little girl with a big attitude and adorable all wrapped into a small little body!!!
Our Camrie Jo is so fun to be around and I love her to death, but man you better watch out she can turn a room upside down and create a mess quicker than any of my kids. We were talking to Josh's family and we were saying how usually each generation gets better than the last. We are in trouble if that is the case with her. I am pretty sure I had a pretty bad attitude ( I mean my nickname was Attitude all through high school !)
Here is an example.....
my mom has saved this doll that my grandma Haney made for me when I was young. It lasted through me and my brothers and then my mom hung on to it until I had a little girl to hand it down to. When my mom moved in with her parents and I went to go visit. I brought back the doll to give to Camrie. She hasn't really ever been into dolls. We got her one for Christmas last year and not until Wesley was born did she want anything to do with them.

The other day I was in her room picking up and this is what I came across.

I guess she isn't going to ever be a doll person!! Now my dilemma is do I fix the doll because my grandma made it and its a piece of history or do I just get rid of it and move on since it probably wont ever get played with NICELY from my daughter!?

She does however have a sweet and cute side to her. Yesterday while both the older boys were at school we met Josh for lunch. So I thought I would be a good mom and actually do her hair and try to make her look like she has a mom.
She really can look cute but most of the time this is what she looks like.

We curled her hair and she had a cute outfit on. after I got her ready, I then got ready. As I was putting on my shoes ( just a simple pair of flip flops) she looks over at me and in her cute little voice said                             "ADORABLE", you look so cute mom!
kids always know how to put a smile of your face.
