things that make me laugh....

Jarom was such a great helper while we were fixing everything up on the house. He always had to be right in the action. Wonder where he gets that from. It was kind of sad, for about a week and a half we would be at the house until about 9:30 pm and then drive back to the apt to sleep. The first night we finally slept at the house Jarom just cried and said, I want to sleep at my house!!! It took a few days until he really felt like this was really home.
Nothing to keep your kids entertained more then with a good old box. This is what the boys did when I was trying to get my kitchen back into working order. Thank heavens for boxes.
Over the Christmas break Jarom and I decorated a ginger bread house. It was a lot of fun. The first time he dropped a piece of candy he was like    "oh no mom I dropped it!" I told him it was ok and that he could eat it. So of course he started to dropped more and more, but then he would look up and say " its ok mommy I can just eat it". Lets just say I think he ate just as much as he put on. It was a lot of fun, but of course right after we got done putting it together he wanted to eat it. I told him he would have to wait until dad got home to show him our great work. I was thinking Josh would also say no you don't eat these, but he was like yeah lets eat it!!!
This was the cutest thing I came across. One day when I was unpacking the boxes at our new place, I kept seeing Jarom going back and forth from his room to my room. He would bring a hanger and some of his clothes. When I went in to check on what he was doing, he said look mom I am hanging my clothes for you. What a bigger helper. I love that he wants to help. Its a good thing he does these kind of cute things every so often because if he didn't there would be days that I would give him away.

The day after thanksgiving Josh and I went out to get a few things for the house on Black Friday. Jarom found this little master craft tool box and just had to have it. The next day Jarom put on his tie and grabbed his tool box and said bye mom I am going to work.
Being a mom is so rewarding and yet so challenging. there have been so many days when I call Josh and my mom almost in tears or in tears telling them that I can't handle the boys. Jarom has taught me a very important lesson these past few weeks. You will be more successful and achieve more things if you reward the good things and let the negative things go on by. Jarom with all the craziness in our lives these past few months decided that he didn't want to go potty on the toilet. Two or three times a day he would have an accident. I got so upset and you all know me, I can have a temper and well Jarom got to see that temper. Until I called my mom and just said I need help. What do I do? She then says, why don't you try to reward the times he does go in the toilet and see if that helps.WOW why didn't I think of that before. Ever since that day Jarom has done a great job and we haven't had a problem since.
