I am very blessed to have all of these examples in my life. They make me be a better wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. I am grateful for their love and support and examples in my life. This fathers day was a special and hard one all together. My dads birthday is on june 12th just days before fathers day. This year i came across a video clip from my wedding video that my dad was telling me and josh how much he loved us and was grateful for us. It will be something that i will never forget and be grateful for. As awesome as it was to hear my dads voice after 3 years, it made it so hard. After hearing his voice it was like he was still here and never left and when fathers day came around it just seemed normal to pick up the phone and call him and talk to him. I miss him so much. More and more as i learn how hard it is to be a parent, i am grateful for his love and example he was to me as my dad. He really was the best dad ever and gave us as kids so much. We didnt have much and to look back at all we were given growing up, i know that he went with out or worked that much harder so we could do the extra things that we got to do.
I love watching Josh with our kids because Josh is also very good at being a dad. The kids love when he comes home from work and gets very upset if he ever leaves without saying goodbye and having family prayer. Even with all that Josh has going on with work and being in the bishopric he still makes times to wrestle with the kids, take them swimming and sit out in the 110 heat and watch the boys swim.
I am so grateful my kids have all these examples in their lives to look up to and someday be just like them.
