Happy Birthday Jarom

Jarom's birthday gifts started the Saturday before his birthday. Josh and I got him a bike . The cousins were coming that Monday and bringing their bikes and so we wanted to make sure that Jarom had a few days to practice before they came.
It was so much fun. We hid the bike in the Attic and sent Jarom on a hunt around the house with clues. He found his helmet in the bath tub. We then told Jarom that daddy needed his help in the attic getting down some things. Jarom went up the ladder first and when he got up there, he turned and saw his bike. He was so excited. He said " hey look a bike for me!!!, Santa left me a bike" !!! He is so cute. We told him that it wasn't from Santa, but that it was from Mom and Dad.
He rode the bike the rest of the day. It was raining out side and so we started in the garage riding in circles. By the afternoon he was ready to go around the block. He took a break for lunch, but he wouldn't take the helmet off. He got him to take it off for his nap though. Jarom slept for 3 hours. He hasn't taken a nap in months let alone a 3 hour one. When he woke up he tried to get back on his bike, but started to cry and said his bum hurt. Good thing the next day was Sunday and we could give his bum a break :)
Jarom turned 3 on Thursday. I wish I could say it was a GREAT day, but he was sick in bed with a 102 temperature and throwing up. I felt so bad for him. Hunter and Jenna and Ember were so cute with him and tried to make it a good day, but he was out of it. We just kept him in my room so the other kids didn't get sick. We tried again on Saturday with his party.
He was at least well enough to do the activities and play but after the party he was back in bed. He was now complaining of his ears hurting. So needless to say he has been on Tylenol and Morton since Thursday. Poor kid. We finally took him to urgent care last night and got him on some medicine. Hopefully that will work fast and he can get back to him self.
Other then him being sick though we had a great party. We did a Construction themed party. We let the kids build a bulldozer and paint it and then we did relay races with the dirt and then played pin the hat on the construction worker. Then we needed the party with letting everyone play in the dirt with the trackers and toys. I think everyone had fun. It ended in a huge water fight at the end, it was probably a good thing though because it was a hot day.
I got creative and tried to make a construction scene cake. It turned out cute. Too bad it took an hour to put together but only 5 to eat it up!!!! good thing I got some pictures. Happy Birthday Jarom, WE LOVE YOU!
