The long awaited BEFORE pictures of our house....

So here are the before pictures of our house. Since our fixing up is going to be a few years, you are going to have to wait for a few of the AFTER pictures on the house. But I will get some soon and post so you can see what we have done already to the house. Looking back at these pictures, its crazy to me how much better it looks. NOT bragging or anything, but man my hubby is a good fixer upper. He has done almost everything himself on the house and it all looks AMAZING!!! Good job Josh!!!

This garage door had to go first thing. We got a new one with windows. When we tried to open this garage door it was sooooo heavy. Josh tried to make it budge but nothing was happening. Makes the front of the house so much nicer with a new garage door and the windows make it look pretty good as well.
This is the front room. We haven't done much to this room other then take the ceiling fan away, painted the walls and this room has wood flooring in it. Right now its Josh's piano room. We don't have any other furniture there yet. Once we get a new couch for the family room then we will have a couch to go in here.
we took down the row of cabinets over the bar. We painted the kitchen a cream color and got a new microwave and fridge. Its amazing what it did to the kitchen when we took the cabinets down. it makes it so much more open.

This is looking at our dinning area. This is the only thing we don't love about this house. The eating area isn't very big. Its ok now with just the two boys, but if we get any bigger we are going to have a problem. Its also not the best for when we have people over. We have some ideas for making it bigger, but nothing that we are going to do anytime soon. We also painted. The whole house actually got painted a light cream color. Figured we would start with a clean surface and add color as we go.
this is the front door. Its a pretty big entry way. This also has wood flooring here.

This is our front yard. We want to make it a nice sitting area. We also took down the gate. It was kind of annoying. Jarom has a thing with always having doors closed and so he would go behind you and always close it. We also didn't want to look like we were keeping people away. So well its gone now.

this is the laundry room. Its right off the garage. Where the long closet doors are, Josh for Christmas put in a huge pantry with tons of shelves. Then we are also able to get a pretty good pair of used washer and dryer for a whole $175.

This is now Jarom's room, use to be known as the bubble room. Not only was it blue, but it had huge bubbles painted all over it. This was one of the worst rooms to fix. All the rooms had the stupid chains hanging from the ceiling fans and so we got that all wired and done right. Then put new carpet in all the rooms and again painted.

This is the bathroom in the hallway by all the rooms. Not much had been done here, other then Josh tried to replace the toilet and after about a week of things not going right, he did his best to put it back together and make it work. It still needs some help, but at least it works.

here is the hallway to the rooms. this is another place that got wood floors. Makes it seem so much bigger.
Not a great picture but this is the family room. We painted and put wood flooring in here as well. We also took down all the popcorn ceiling finish. We almost didn't do the whole house. We at first did the two front rooms and thought we would do the bedrooms later, but got a really good price from the painters to do the other rooms. We are so glad the whole house got done before we moved in. We have seen some other homes that still have it and it makes them look... well not so nice.

This is the pool. It was empty when we bought the house, but had to have it filled before we could close. We thought it was going to have to be all redone because it was loosing a lot of water, but we just found out that NO that is just how much water a pool looses with the sun. CRAZY
This is the outside patio. Lets just say the whole outside needs a ton of help. We don't really want to do anything to is until the summer is over. We also are just waiting for Nick to come and visit and put his new college degree to use and design us a front yard and back yard landscape.
this is the side of the house that is for the RV. I hope to get a garden going and who knows what else. Its just nice to have this much more yard to work with.
this is our master bathroom. Probably the other thing that we wish was a little bigger. it works for us though. the paint had to go!!! we hope to be able to fix this up a bit but who knows.

this is the master closet and a vanity outside of the bathroom. its a nice area. but to me it seems like a lot of wasted space. I hope to one day make all this the bathroom and fix things around to make the bathroom bigger and make this space work for us more. However it is nice to have my space out here and then josh has the bathroom sink counter for his space. We also are going to add shelving in the closet to make it more use full.

This is the sliding door from our master bedroom. We really wanted to keep the colors that they choose, but the curtains weren't in good shape so we had to change!!!!! just kidding. We got really nice carpet in here and painted it the cream color. Hope to add an accent color some day. We got really lucky though. We had a good friend of the family help us get carpet. We were able to get carpet for the whole house ( 4 bedrooms) for $400. What a bargain!
So well there you have it. Our HOME. Its by far nothing AMAZING but its our OWN home and we LOVE it. We always have something to do every Saturday. I will try hard to take some pictures of the AFTERS up to this point so you can see what it looks like now. But I will be honest the best thing would be to just come and see it for your self. We would love to have you come and visit. I know you all want to join us and spend some time this summer here with the 115 degree weather.  We have a pool so at least you can work on your tans!!!!

Jess your home is awesome! It was fun to see pictures of your boys, they are so cute and getting so big. I would love to come visit--though not in the summer. I have been wanting to go see some friends of mine that live in Gilbert so I could see you both. I still remember when I came for EFY that I thought I was going to die in the heat!
